我曾听说过这样一个故事：那是一个傍晚，在一家医院里，一位满脸皱纹，带着眼镜的老医生一边哼着歌，一边整理着自己的东西，准备下班回家。忽然，门外传来了一阵急促的声响。老医生扶了扶眼镜，心想：这都下班了，怎么还有病人来？想着，放慢了整理的速度。“不是有值班的医生吗？”老医生喃喃道，又加快了整理速度。顿时，他想起来了，这时医院急救的声音，只有遇到情况危险的病人才会响起来。而自己也是这家医院最后一位主治医生，其他医生都下班走了。如果自己走了，那病人岂不是让病人白白送命？老医生立刻放下自己手中的东西，飞一样的跑到了门外。

为了实现这个梦想，我花了不少的心血和努力，每天都往书店里钻，一次就看几个小时，常常忘了吃饭，忘了回家。记得有一次，我放学回家时，看见书店里新出了几本关于医学的书，咽了一口唾沫，大步地走了进去。我从书架里找到了那本书，心中一阵狂喜，找了一个地方津津有味地读起书来。一个小时过去了，两个小时过去了，三个小时过去了，几个小时过去了，我仍然沉醉在书的世界里。当我看完第二本书时，一位阿姨走了过来，轻声地对我说：“小朋友，已经很晚了，书店要关门，明天再来看好吗？”我看了看外面，天色已经很晚了，我“啊！”地一声叫了出来，拿起书包，急忙跑回家。
